Viable SARS-CoV-2 in the air of a hospital room with COVID-19 patients

Live virus was captured 4.8 m away from infected patients, in a room with no aerosol generating equipment.

Scientist Linsey Marr states:

“There are ways to control this. It’s not new, it’s been happening for months. Here’s what works:

  1. distancing
  2. masks
  3. good ventilation
  4. avoid crowds
  5. wash hands

To my knowledge, we have not seen outbreaks when all of these rules are followed.”
