JCVI discussed herd immunity among children before not endorsing jab rollout

The UK’s vaccine watchdog discussed allowing immunity against Covid-19 to be built up among children via infection before declining to endorse the universal rollout of the jab to 12 to 15-year-olds. Minutes published by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) have sparked debate among the scientific community after it emerged the body discussed the policy, amongst others.
